They are those who deny their Lord! They are those round whose necks will be yokes (of servitude): they will be Companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (for aye)!

But verily thy Lord is full of forgiveness for mankind for their wrong-doing, and verily thy Lord is (also) strict in punishment.

But you are (a) warner/giver of notice, and to each nation (is) a guide.     And the Unbelievers say: "Why is not a sign sent down to him from his Lord?" But thou art truly a warner, and to every people a guide.

Every single thing is before His sight, in (due) proportion.

9.  *     عالم الغيب والشهادة الكبير المتعال     `alm alGyb wal$had+ alkbyr almt`al     Knower (of) the unseen/hidden and the testimony/certification/presence, the great/exalted/revered, the most high, mighty, exalted and dignified.     He knoweth the unseen and that which is open: He is the Great, the Most High.

Verily never will Allah change the condition of a people until they change it themselves (with their own souls). But when (once) Allah willeth a people's punishment, there can be no turning it back, nor will they find, besides Him, any to protect.

Say: "God." Say: "So did you take/receive from other than Him guardians/allies they do not own/possess to themselves benefit/usefulness and nor harm?" Say: "Do the blind and the seeing become equal/alike? Or do the darknesses and the light become equal/alike? Or they made/put to God partners (that) created like/as His creation so the creation looked alike/resembled on (to) them?" Say: "God (is) creator (of) every thing, and He is the one, the defeater/conqueror."     Say: "Who is the Lord and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth?" Say: "(It is) Allah." Say: "Do ye then take (for worship) protectors other than Him, such as have no power either for good or for harm to themselves?" Say: "Are the blind equal with those who see? Or the depths of darkness equal with light?" Or do they assign to Allah partners who have created (anything) as He has created, so that the creation seemed to them similar? Say: "(Allah) is the Creator of all things: He is the One, the Supreme and Irresistible."

Even so, from that (ore) which they heat in the fire, to make ornaments or utensils therewith, there is a scum likewise. Thus doth Allah (by parables) show forth Truth and Vanity. For the scum disappears like forth cast out; while that which is for the good of mankind remains on the earth. Thus doth Allah set forth parables.

But those who respond not to Him,- Even if they had all that is in the heavens and on earth, and as much more, (in vain) would they offer it for ransom. For them will the reckoning be terrible: their abode will be Hell,- what a bed of misery!

35.  *     مثل الجنة التي وعد المتقون تجري من تحتها الانهار اكلها دائم وظلها تلك عقبى الذين اتقوا وعقبى الكافرين النار     mxl aljn+ alty w`d almtqwn tjry mn tHtha alanhar aklha daYm wZlha tlk `qbi alXyn atqwa w`qbi alkafryn alnar     (The) example/proverb (of) a treed garden/paradise which the fearing and obeying were promised (it), (is) the rivers/waterways flows/passes from below/beneath it, its fruits (are) continuous/lasting, and its shade.168That (is) those who feared and obeyed's end/turn (result); and the disbelievers end/turn (result) is the fire.     The parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised!- beneath it flow rivers: perpetual is the enjoyment thereof and the shade therein: such is the end of the Righteous; and the end of Unbelievers in the Fire.

36.  *     والذين اتيناهم الكتاب يفرحون بما انزل اليك ومن الاحزاب من ينكر بعضه قل انما امرت ان اعبد الله ولااشرك به اليه ادعوا واليه ماب     walXyn atynahm alktab yfrHwn bma anzl alyk wmn alaHzab mn ynkr b`Dh ql anma amrt an a`bd allh wlaa$rk bh alyh ad`wa walyh mab     And those whom We gave them The Book they rejoice/delight with what was descended to you. Say: "I am commanded to worship Allah, and not to join partners with Him. Unto Him do I call, and unto Him is my return."

Wert thou to follow their (vain) desires after the knowledge which hath reached thee, then wouldst thou find neither protector nor defender against Allah.

38.  *     ولقد ارسلنا رسلا من قبلك وجعلنا لهم ازواجا وذرية وماكان لرسول ان ياتي باية الا باذن الله لكل اجل كتاب     wlqd arslna rsla mn qblk wj`lna lhm azwaja wXry+ wmakan lrswl an yaty bay+ ala baXn allh lkl ajl ktab     And We had sent messengers from before you and We made for them spouses and descendants. And (it) was not to a messenger that he comes with a verse/evidence except with God's permission, to every term/time (is) a judgment/fate.     We did send apostles before thee, and appointed for them wives and children: and it was never the part of an apostle to bring a sign except as Allah permitted (or commanded). For each period is a Book (revealed).

39.  *     يمحواالله مايشاء ويثبت وعنده ام الكتاب     ymHwaallh may$a' wyxbt w`ndh am alktab     God eliminates/erases what He wills/wants, and He affirms/strengthens, and at Him (is) The Books' origin/mother.     Allah doth blot out or confirm what He pleaseth: with Him is the Mother of the Book.

And God judges/rules, (there is) no controller/driver to His judgment/rule, and He is quick/fast (in) the account/calculation.     See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? (Where) Allah commands, there is none to put back His Command: and He is swift in calling to account.

42.  *     وقد مكر الذين من قبلهم فلله المكر جميعا يعلم ماتكسب كل نفس وسيعلم الكفار لمن عقبى الدار     wqd mkr alXyn mn qblhm fllh almkr jmy`a y`lm matksb kl nfs wsy`lm alkfar lmn `qbi aldar     And those from before them had cheated/deceived/schemed, so to God (is) all the cheatery/deceit/scheme. He knows what every self gains/acquires, and the disbelievers will know to whom (is) the house's/home's end/turn (result).     Those before them did (also) devise plots; but in all things the master- planning is Allah.s He knoweth the doings of every soul: and soon will the Unbelievers know who gets home in the end.

Say: "Enough for a witness between me and you is Allah, and such as have knowledge of the Book."
